Students who attend Phoenix School of Law are a new generation of law students who have the knowledge, advanced skills and self-reliance today’s employers are looking for. The Center for Professional Development (CPD) is a full-service counseling and resource center that supports and assists students in all stages of the career planning and placement process. The CPD offers a wide range of services and programs that are responsive to a diverse student body and evolving market realities.
Assistance is offered to each student so that they can identify, develop and attain their individual goals. The CPD houses an extensive collection of books, directories, pamphlets and other publications covering a wide variety of career-related topics including: self-assessment; career planning; job search strategies; resume preparation; interview skills; legal practice areas and alternatives; legal and non-legal employers; public sector and public interest careers; and law firm practice and management as well as online resources for career exploration and planning needs. CPD offers a comprehensive program that brings students together with employers and provides other opportunities to gain practical experience.
