2010 Census Demographic Profiles for Arizona Released

The U.S. Census Bureau released Arizona's demographic profile yesterday, as well as a few other states. Here is a brief summary of Arizona's stats:

Arizona

  • The median age was 35.9.
  • The average household size was 2.63 people per household.
  • Among the state's occupied housing units, 66.0 percent were owned, compared with 34.0 percent that were rented.

Library Loot April 5th 2011!

Indeed, it is Tuesday, and thus we have another Library Loot puzzle! Can you solve this scavenger hunt? Remember you must find the Golden Ticket!

Instructions: For this scavenger hunt, you need to locate the Golden Ticket that is within or near the answer. You will need to include the library location and call number on the Golden Ticket before taking the ticket to the Circulation Desk to claim your prize.

On this day, February 14, 1912, the contiguous states welcomed their final and 48th sibling, Arizona!

Indeed, this is truly a celebration! 99 years old! Boy time sure flies by when you're a state! Here are some resources to celebrate Arizona and it's birthday:
