Prop Designer Wins Star Wars Copyright Case in UK

For all you Star Wars fans... and those interested in copyright law and/or British law...

The prop designer who created the Storm Trooper helmets has won the battle against Lucasfilm in a copyright case in the UK. He can continue to sell the helmets in the UK, just not the US.

Surprisingly some of these books are not necessarily about lawyers, legal topics, or politics. Some are, but not all. As the post explains, these books are: "Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, they help us define who and what we are—or what we are a part of, or what we have and can yet endure."

Legislative Research by State

A former law librarian has taken up the task of posting legislative research information for each of the 50 states to her blog, a project she calls 50 States in 50 Weeks. Each week is another state, in alphabetical order of course! Week three was her post on Arizona legislative research. This is the 9th week and her post is on Florida legislative research.

Some Friday fun..the states in alphabetical order! That reminds me of the song, Fifty Nifty United States! How many of you can sing the 50 States song? Get to about 45 seconds on the video below, where they begin: "Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas..."

AZ Move Over Law Revised, In Effect July 20th

Did you know? Yesterday a revision to the 2005 "Move Over" Arizona law went into effect. The revision includes any vehicle pulled over with their emergency lights flashing, as well as emergency or police vehicles.
